Bilateral symmetric distribution
Periarticular soft tissue swelling
Juxta-articular osteoporosis
progressing to diffuse osteoporosis
Uniform loss of joint space
Marginal and bare area erosions
Ligamentous laxity predisposes
to subluxations at the affected joints
