Peri-articular erosions

1-It can be classified according to the limb affected, if it is upper or lower limb.

2-If this erosion are seen in the upper limb, think for Rheumatoid or psoriasis.

3-In case of Rheumatoid, the condition is symmetrical with juxta articular osteoporosis.

4-While in case of psoriasis, the condition is asymmetrical with no osteoporosis.

5-If the erosion is seen in the lower limb, think for Rheumatoid, Gout and Reiter,s syndrome.

6-In case of Rheumatoid, is similar to that of the upper limb.

7-In case of Gout, it affects mainly big toe or olecranon.

8-In case of Reiter's syndrome, it affects mainly calcaneum or sacro-iliac joint.
